This poster design is for an exhibit of lithographs of Nelson Mandela’s  sketches and writings that he made while imprisoned in South Africa, plus other photos of the civil rights struggle from UNC’s archives. I chose this bright color palette to contrast against the black and white photos used as the main artwork. It’s not the final layout.
Hot sauce label for Tulane School of Public Health! This year the American Public Health Association is having its convention in New Orleans, so this sauce is a party favor to savor.
Wunderkammers were humanity’s first museums. For this exhibit of rare books with intriguing and often gruesome images from early “cabinets of curiosities”, I designed the logotype and collateral including a gatefold brochure (always wanted to do one of those), posters, and a postcard.
This is my last issue of Global Health in the old design. This past winter we brainstormed new messaging for the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine plus a new look and feel for its editorial and marketing, so next issue we are rolling it out!
Magnolia pods and the bright red seeds popping out of them always fascinated me as a kid growing up in Louisiana.
Oh, RATS! I labored over this botanic glyph for an ID piece, and today it looks to me like it belongs on a restroom door. #logo

The two-hour flyer makeover that goes from ho-hum to Hey, I want to get my passport! Always invest in design. It’s a beautiful world.
A terrible phone pic of my Christmas card this year, “A Star in the East”. Eastern Colorado, Siebert to be exact. Where they have water towers that look like little rocket ships. #watertower
I just had a book cover query from a former colleague. That reminded me that I used to do book covers. Lots of them! Here’s one for Tarcher Penguin, maybe 10 years ago. Before I did yoga! Maybe I’ll post more oldies just for some variety with all this higher education and magazine work.
